Displacement Calculator

| Added in Physics

Calculates displacement using average velocity. The formula is:

$$s = 0.5 \times (u + v) \times t$$

Where:

  • s is the displacement (in meters)
  • u is the initial velocity (in m/s)
  • v is the final velocity (in m/s)
  • t is the time (in seconds)

Example

If the initial velocity is 0 m/s, final velocity is 20 m/s, and time is 5 seconds:

$$s = 0.5 \times (0 + 20) \times 5 = 50 \text{ m}$$

The displacement is 50 meters.
