Formula
The capacitive reactance is calculated using:
$$X_{c} = \frac{1}{2 \times \pi \times f \times C}$$
Where:
- $X_c$ = Capacitive reactance (Ohms)
- $f$ = Frequency (Hz)
- $C$ = Capacitance (Farads)
Example
For a frequency of 60 Hz and capacitance of 50 uF (0.00005 F):
$$X_{c} = \frac{1}{2 \times \pi \times 60 \times 0.00005} = 53.05\ \text{Ohms}$$
